About Zombrax
Straight-talking PC gaming — builds, hardware and frames
Zombrax is an independent PC gaming publication. We build rigs, benchmark hardware, and test the gear so you spend on what actually matters and skip the marketing noise.
Why we started Zombrax
Most PC hardware coverage falls into one of two traps. It is either a spec sheet read aloud, or a thin excuse to push you toward the most expensive part in the box. We wanted a third option: clear, honest writing for people who game on a real budget and want their money going into frames, not hype.
Zombrax started in 2026 as a group chat between friends who kept swapping part lists, overclocks and "is this GPU actually worth it" screenshots. Those notes turned into articles, and the articles turned into this. Today we publish practical guides across four areas — PC builds, components and hardware, peripherals and displays, and games and performance — all built on the same belief: the smart buy beats the flashy one almost every time.
What you can expect
Every article is written or edited by someone who has built the rig or tested the part we describe. We favour depth over volume, we update guides when new hardware lands, and we are upfront about what we haven't tested. When we recommend a product, it is because we'd put it in our own build — not because someone paid us to.

What we value
The principles behind every article
Benchmarked, not guessed
We test the hardware and builds we write about on real machines. If a part only looks good in the marketing deck, we say so.
Builder-first, always
Our recommendations are independent. We are never paid to feature a product, and we keep advertising clearly separate from editorial.
Value over hype
We don't chase the most expensive parts for their own sake. The goal is the best frames and feel for your actual budget.
Plain and honest
No jargon, no padding, and no pretending the trade-offs don't exist. We explain things the way we'd explain them to a friend.
The team
Who writes Zombrax
Alex has built dozens of PCs for friends, family and clients, and has the scarred knuckles to prove it. He cares about sensible spending over benchmark bragging rights, and walks through every build the way he'd guide a first-timer — calmly, with the gotchas called out.
Riley benchmarks hardware for fun and keeps a spreadsheet no reasonable person should. They cut through marketing numbers to what a part actually delivers in real games, and are happiest telling you the cheaper option is the smarter buy.
Dev came up through competitive gaming and has strong, tested opinions about the gear that touches your hands. He reviews keyboards, mice and monitors on his own desk over weeks, not minutes, and values feel and reliability over flashy spec sheets.
